Setup Instructions:
- Propane gas grills are intended for outdoor use only.
- Ensure the grill is placed on a level surface, away from any combustible materials.
Operation Instructions:
1. Before connecting the regulator to the propane tank, make sure all control knobs are in the closed position. These knobs are located below the stainless steel work shelf.
2. Securely attach the regulator to the propane cylinder using the hand wheel provided for a hand-tight connection.
3. Note that propane tanks have left-handed threads. Turn counterclockwise to tighten and clockwise to loosen.
4. Open the main cylinder valve.
5. Use a lit butane gun to ignite the first burner by placing it through the grates next to the lava rocks. Turn the burner control knob to the open position to light it. The second burner will light automatically by turning it on.
6. Only ignite the sections you need for cooking. Adjust the control knobs to reach the desired temperature.
7. After cooking, close all control knobs, shut the main cylinder valve, and disconnect the regulator from the propane cylinder.
8. Clean the cast iron cooking grates with a steel wire brush and spray them with vegetable oil before lighting the grill to prevent food from sticking.
9. After cooking, while the grill is still hot, brush the grates clean. Once the grill has cooled, use a cleaner or degreaser on the stainless steel surfaces and wipe them clean with paper towels. For tough stains, use a Scotch-Brite pad, but avoid using steel wool pads.
Propane Safety:
- Never use or store propane cylinders indoors.
- Keep the main cylinder valve securely closed when not in use.
- Always fully open or fully close the propane tank valves; do not partially open them.
- Position the cylinder so that the connection between the valves and regulator does not create sharp bends in the hose or tubing.
Disconnecting and Transporting:
- Turn off all control knobs and close the main cylinder valve.
- Place a valve plug snugly in the main cylinder valve outlet.
- Always transport and store cylinders in a secured, upright position.
- Never leave propane cylinders in a hot car or truck, as heat can cause the relief valve to discharge propane, creating a dangerous situation.
